Introducing PREP!

PREP is designed to assist any division I campus looking to provide timely and accurate rules education materials to student-athletes, coaches and staff.

Certificates of Mastery for each course provide all stakeholders with a working knowledge of NCAA rules to help them perform on and off the playing field.

PREP is perfect for stand-alone training or used in conjunction with your existing rules education meetings. Examples of course topics include extra benefits, recruiting, eligibility, amateurism, Title IX, as well as specialized courses on hazing, sexual harassment, and drug abuse. In addition, each course can be customized for your institution.

There are many ways to provide rules education, but with PREP institutions can

  • Easily provide training to a large number of individuals;
  • Drastically expand coaches, staff and student-athletes’ knowledge of critical NCAA rules and regulations;
  • Decrease the number of rules violations committed each year.

PREP is a win-win for compliance professionals and institutions. Designated individuals are better PREPared to perform their jobs in accordance with NCAA rules and compliance professionals can devote more time to ensure PREParedness for their other responsibilities.

JumpForward’s Newly Released Sports Data Analytics iPad App will Revolutionize Collegiate Athletics

JumpForward, the leading provider of NCAA compliance management, recruiting databases, and communication systems, is pleased to announce another revolutionary and amazing product: JF iPad Sports Analytics 3.0. This is JumpForward’s 3rd release of its award winning iPad application since 2010. Version 3.0 is free for current and new users.

JumpForward was the first to innovate the recruiting process with an iPad app, and we are changing the college recruiting landscape again by delivering the next big thing for college coaches. Unlike other recently released iPad applications, with disjointed user interfaces and cumbersome consumer experiences, JumpForward’s app enables college coaches to easily find and evaluate recruits from single intuitive app. JumpForward continues to lead the iPad revolution with a ton of new features that will transform the recruiting game.

The big new feature in this release is the Skill Evaluation System, which allows coaches to create paperless custom skill evaluation forms. With JF iPad Sports Analytics 3.0, you can assess prospects from the gym, the car, the film room, or on the couch while watching online film - all right on your iPad. Coaches can create unlimited custom forms to be filled out on both the iPad and Web. For college coaches, JumpForward has seamlessly unified the recruiting, assessment, evaluation, and reporting process - all from within a single application.

With the Skill Evaluation System coaches can do the following:

  •     Analytically compare recruits on a multitude of sport-specific statistical measures.
  •     Create unlimited custom forms to fit your recruiting evaluation process.
  •     Watch film while filling out Skill Evaluations.
  •     Pass Skills Evaluations on to other staff members and notify them instantly via e-mail.

The second big upgrade is the addition of the school database. Coaches can now access over twenty five thousand schools in JumpForward’s database. In addition, with this upgrade coaches can do all of the following:

  •     Access important school information, including addresses, coaches, and contacts.
  •     Get directions to the school from the fully integrated Google maps feature.
  •     Access information on prospects associated with a school.
  •     Watch Online Film
  •     Log compliance contacts and evaluations.

JumpForward and ProTech Sign Exclusive Partnership to Deliver NCAA Rules Education Training

For over a year JumpForward and ProTech have provided an easy, verifiable, and cost-effective way for NCAA Compliance Departments to educate their constituents. At any time before or during the school year, student-athletes and coaches can be assigned, access, and complete a series of online courses. These courses were created with the help of content design specialists, psychometricians, and NCAA Compliance professionals.

“We are very excited about this exclusive partnership with ProTech,” said Brad Niedermaier, President/CEO at JumpForward. “It’s a very affordable way for compliance departments to verify that they have fulfilled the NCAA’s education requirements. More importantly, it educates the university’s constituents with a consistent message which can proactively prevent costly violations.”

“Rules education is essential on every campus, and the more people that can be involved the better” said Jen Condaras, Associate Commissioner for Compliance & SWA Liaison for the BIG EAST Conference. Some schools do not have large compliance staffs, so creating rules education materials to present to coaches, staff members, student-athletes and others can be quite challenging. This is a great opportunity for compliance professionals to receive timely educational information to share on their campuses.”

“This is something that can save time and resources on a campus and one in which I wish I had during my career in compliance” said Bill Shults, VP of Compliance at JumpForward. “The documentation and analytics provided to the institution will prove that each student-athlete was actively engaged in learning and understanding the NCAA Legislation through a mastery concept approach.”

JumpForward & CollegeSwimming.com Ease Recruiting for Coaches

JumpForward, LLC (http://www.jumpforward.com), the leading provider of recruiting and compliance software for college athletic departments, and CollegeSwimming.com have announced a partnership to streamline the recruiting process for college swimming coaches seeking to identify and recruit prospective student-athletes.  The partnership will enable coaches to integrate CollegeSwimming.com’s database of prospective college swimmers with JumpForward’s suite of native mobile apps.

“CollegeSwimming.com is a staple in college swimming” said JumpForward’s President Brad Niedermaier.  “Partnering with them was an easy decision because it further simplifies the recruiting process for all the college swimming programs using JumpForward.”

Since introducing its recruiting rankings in 2006, CollegeSwimming has proven the go-to destination for the nation’s top college swimming programs.   Clients have included conference champions or runner-ups in the ACC, Big Ten, Big East, Ivy League, Pac 12, Mountain West, and C-USA.  In total, CollegeSwimming.com Teams won nineteen Division I and four Division III conference titles during the 2011-12 season.

“We’ve been delightfully surprised at how successful the partnership has been already,” explained
CollegeSwimming.com Founder Greg Earhart.  “It wasn’t until we began getting ‘thank-yous’ from many of our clients that we began to realize just how many programs were already working with JumpForward.”

The partnership between the two companies allows coaches to integrate their JumpForward and CollegeSwimming.com accounts.   Coaches search CollegeSwimming.com’s database of 38,000 recruits, identify likely prospects, and seamlessly import them into JumpForward’s suite of applications.  Last year over 85% of the nation’s Top 500 swimming recruits, including a handful of Olympians, created profiles on CollegeSwimming.com.

“This really is a win-win-win partnership,” Earhart explained.  “We’re making coaches’ jobs easier.  We’re helping swimmers and parents get more exposure, and we’re delivering value to our clients.”

JumpForward Welcomes 12 NCAA Universities

Several schools have recently chosen JumpForward for department wide recruiting and compliance software

JumpForward has recently signed the following 12 schools to department wide deals for recruiting and compliance software: Azusa Pacific, Cal State – Fullerton, Denver, Hawaii Pacific, Illinois-Edwardsville, Kennesaw State, Ohio, South Carolina, Southern California, Southern Methodist, Texas-El Paso, and Utah.

This group of signees includes Division I – BCS, Division I – Non-Football, and Division II schools from the following conferences: Pac 12, Conference USA, SEC, Sun Belt, Big West, Pacific West, Missouri Valley, Atlantic Sun, and Mid- American. The compliance departments include two former NAAC presidents, Judy Van Horn from the University of South Carolina and Tricia Turley from Ohio University.

“We’re proud of the diversity of our customer base, including these recent signees” said Brad Niedermaier, President of JumpForward. “Schools at every level understand the value of a customizable solution that puts their entire athletics department on one platform.”

JumpForward’s recruiting solutions are easy to use which makes them attractive to sports with basic recruiting needs, but they are comprehensive enough to exceed the demands of major BCS football and basketball programs. JumpForward compliance products are customized with a built-in NCAA rules engine that accounts for the NCAA rule differences between Division I and Division II. JumpForward has over 80 Division I and II schools using their products for recruiting and compliance department wide.

University of Utah Goes Department Wide with JumpForward

University of Utah Goes Department Wide with JumpForward

The University of Utah, a member of the Pac 12 Conference, has selected JumpForward to be the software platform for their athletics department.

“After researching several software companies, we determined JumpForward is the technology fit for our institution,” said Kate Charipar, the University of Utah’s Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.  “Their products are comprehensive, the JumpForward staff is knowledgeable, and all of the customers we spoke with while exploring software had great things to say about their customer service.”

Like many JumpForward customers, the Utes signed up three sports on the JumpForward platform to test the solution before making a commitment to use it department wide.  When those contracts expired, the university was ready to get the full recruiting and compliance package.

“We make our solution accessible because we want schools to be comfortable when they sign a contract with us” said Brad Niedermaier, JumpForward’s President. “We are extremely confident in our products and our customer service so we believe the more information a school has about us, the more likely they are to sign with JumpForward.”

The Utes coaching staff will use JumpForward’s Recruiting Solution to manage their recruiting databases and to communicate with their prospects, current team, and alumni.  The compliance staff will use the Compliance Toolbox to manage everything they need for recruiting compliance for prospective student-athletes and continuing eligibility for current student-athletes.
